Sad from being scammed | Brown Mackie College review from South Bend, Indiana

1.2
Details
I was advised by various student loan debt companies found on FB and other social media that I would need to wait for a class action lawsuit to be brought in order to have my student loan debt forgiven. I graduated back in 2006 from the South Bend Indiana campus with an Associates Degree as a paralegal. When I started I was promised job placement assistance, help with transfers of credits toward Bachelors in Criminal Justice, etc. and not one of those promises were kept. When I graduated in 2006 I had $14,000 in debt. That has now grown to 21,000. I have been on income based repayment plan for years paying nothing but that debts grows and grows and is constantly hanging out there. I AM NOT looking to get rich, simply have my debt forgiven since the degree is useless. I can be contacted at paralegals73@gmail.com if anyone has insight into something that can get this debt erased!

Student loans and my associates degree | Brown Mackie College review

1.1
Details
I went to brown Macklemore to receive my associates degree in business finished walked across the stage and still does not have my degree to put in my book. It's showing that I have outstanding loans from brown Mackie. And I have been trying to get in contact with brown mackie to discuss the situation. I would very much appreciate it if I can receive my degree that I've worked hard for. And to be able to discuss the situation at hand. When they closed they knew how my students didn't receive their degree. And was stuck with a bunch of out standing loans that is affecting people's credit. So I hope reading this that it reaches the right people at Brown Mackie.

Loan Fraud | Brown Mackie College review

I graduated in 2013. The ABQ campus never received accreditation in my field, so my degree is worthless. They have since closed. I did work in my field for a few months, but my state doesn't require licensure, and I didn't last long w the lack of skill. They do one class per month and when my fin-aid was up for renewal there was always something wrong, something delaying the process, and I was told to file for a gov't loan and when my financial aid came in it would cancel out the loan. In essence, the gov't loan would be paid back w the financial aid grant. Not true. I was not allowed to continue w my next class unless I filled these forms out, and if you miss a class you had to wait 3mo for it to come around again. That was not in my career/goals schedule and under the stress imposed by the staff I did what I was told. One time they even said they didn't have my high school transcripts and I couldn't apply for financial aid w/o them. I had already been enrolled for a while and received some financial aid, so it didn't sound right. They did this right before the xmas holiday and I had to apply for a gov't loan in order to enroll knowing my high school was closed for the holiday season and that paperwork would be a wait. I did complain but they didn't budge. The Dean took what I said and was angry but then he was let go for undisclosed reasons. Most likely because he was honest. I was also forced to take out loans directly from the college but those have since been forgiven due to the lawsuit and known mishandling of loans. This school is downright criminal!

My credits aren't worth the paper they're printed on. | Brown Mackie College review

Initially signed up for 16 credit hours, as needed for a prerequisite into another program I was working on getting into. Got into the program, which was no problem there. But, BMC literally REFUSED to release my transcripts until I enrolled in another 4 credit hour class. On top of that? When I transferred to another college, came to find the 16 credits, plus the additional 4 I had to take to get my transcript, were non-transferable. ANYWHERE. Last time I called BMC to investigate the matter, they refused to even speak with me about it until I paid an outstanding balance towards my last course, even though I had a receipt for the course they claim I didn't pay. Glad it shut down. Good riddance.

Criminal | Brown Mackie College review from Boise, Idaho

Deceived my daughter and son in law. Left them in a horrific amount of student loan debt. They were not an accredited school. They were unable to finish their education there because they were removed for stupidity and ignored the many phone calls reaching out for help to continue or get their loans taken care of. Way too expensive and now they are financially strapped and cannot file bankruptcy on these criminals. This should be illegal......... I went in to help resolve issues and absolutely got no where. Now the school is closed down in my city so they cannot get any help. This is so not right and criminal for a so called college to get away with this. Not only to my kids, but several others who were promised things and to only get broken promises.

Deceiving and Unprofessional School will leave you in debt | Brown Mackie College review

I enrolled in 2012 in their accounting program. At the time I was not working but I stressed the importance of flexibility if I found a position. Well I was able to have the position held for two weeks until I was able to change my classes unfortunately after going back and forth I eventually had to withdraw from the school and start work. I was also advised I would be given a laptop included to complete my homework assignments which I never received. Next thing I know Im getting bombarded with a loan from them and also a Government Loan. I have no idea what happened to this company but their bills ceased but I was stuck paying back over $4000 for about 3 weeks of class and approximately seeing the teach 3 times. When I was speaking with management with the company whom hired me I was advised the accredited school I was told they were turned out to be a fibb as well. This is not the college you want to list on your resume or be proud to graduate from..

I attended brown Mackie in 2012 the health information management class I was told the class was accreadited it was'nt I was told I would have job placement, I didn't all I got out of Brown Mackie is a worthless degree and a bunch of debt. I am sorry I went to this college and wasted 2.5 years of my life. not realizing all the the trouble that was happening I reapplied to Brown Mackie in the Medical assistant program in May of 2015 after taking only 3 classes I received a phone call after my third class explaining that my classes had been postponed until further notice because there were no instructor's to teach the class at this time I was asked to sign a voluntary leave of absence form which I refuse to sign, I haven't heard from them since I later found out that they had stop taking enrollments in June of 2015 and are now closed. and I am stuck with a large bill and a degree not worth the paper its printed on.

Not able to use Diploma | Brown Mackie College review

I completed the Medical Assistant Program in 2005. But, I was never able to use the diploma certification because they did not have the accreditation that is required by the State of Texas employers. The intership was in class not at a locate hospital or client. A couple of day before the last day of school, they announced we had to pay more money and come back to school for an intership. I am having to pay a student loan for something I can't use. How do I get this loan waste out completely.
